Vectracide 0 #1 November 30, 2005 Back in 1998 I took a really nice Columbian Blacktail deer in Wa. state off Whidbey Island. I hunt using a bow. I knew it was a nice buck, so I decided to have it mounted very nicely. It has sat on my wall ever since. So, for some reason, tonight I decided to look up Boone and Crockett on the web. Low and behold, there was a function that shows you how to score your buck by entering the measurements on the site, thus spitting out a final score. So I meticulously measured and entered. Pressed enter, and it gave me a # of 188 7/8. Now heres the kicker.....unless I measured wrong, or used a Canadian measuring tape..... I have the state's 2nd and worlds 3rd largest blacktail deer sitting on my wall! WTF? Could this really be? I never really hunt for trophy, but the meat. This new find is just a big nice surprise. I am going to have it measured by a Boone and Crockett dude to find out for sure. I'd be cool to be in the books with this. ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
