yardhippie 0 #3 November 30, 2005 Im currently searching for my 5th house. No, not all at once. I bought my first home back in '98. And i have come out ahead every time. If you can buy a house for what your rent payment is normally. And your loan is one that pays down your principal. then you cant hardly go wrong.Goddam dirty hippies piss me off! ~GFD "What do I get for closing your rig?" ~ me "Anything you want." ~ female skydiver Mohoso Rodriguez #

2fat2fly 0 #14 December 1, 2005 That is an awesome place. It's exactly the kind of set-up we were looking for before we bought some property in the mountains- My wife and I both love th farmhouse look adn with 8 acres, there has to be a landing area on it somewhereI am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried

But I guess with an 8 acre buffer that would give my dog plenty of running room.Scars remind us that the past is real

McDuck 0 #17 December 1, 2005 Whoah! Dr. S, I don't know what to think! I know your parents will finally be able to pass out for a few years, now that they can't nag you about finding a more permanent place. But does this mean you won't have money for team jumps? And boogies (after the Holiday Boogie)? And sushi? And random gifts for last-minute parties? jumper03 0 #18 December 1, 2005 Quote And random gifts for last-minute parties? DAMN!! I need to go do that..... Yeah - the biggest reason is to get my mom off of my case. Guess that isn't a really good reason to buy a house huh? Scars remind us that the past is real
McDuck 0 #19 December 1, 2005 Yeah, it sets a bad precedent. The next thing on the list is "grandkids". The pressure will never end if you cave now. Judit 0 #22 December 1, 2005 Sweet grandkid and very nice house! If you are ready to settle in one place go for it! It feels great having a house but it can also be a commitment. Getting mum off the back?? Hmmm, I don't think it'll work for that purpose. There are always great excuses why to go around, than again I'm always very happy to see my mum.
