The DZ.com Eloy Boogie Band

Recommended Posts

Alright folks, print out all of your tabs, bring your geee-tars (guitars for you northern-types:P), bring your harmonicas and anything else you play. We need to reinstate the DZ.com boogie band at the holiday boogie!

If you're going and you play something (besides the radio), let us know what you play. It would be really kick ass if we could put together a quick blues or jazz ensemble, BUT at the very least we need a couple of guitars for Deuce to crash into...I mean, a couple of guitars to play and sing around the fire pit atleast one night. If there are some folks that are going to come that would get us the right group for a blues/jazz thing then I'll bring my horn, otherwise I won't.

I'll start:

1. AggieDave: Guitar & trumpet (blues/jazz trumpet)

Put a few drinks in me and I'll sing, but I gave up musical instruments years ago.

Same with me.:D:P

Ok, seriously, that would be fine, especially since I'm not a great singer. Luckily last time we did this, we had a good crowd and they sang along with the songs. Unfortunately as the night grinded on, people only wanted to hear Freebird and Hotel California...:D

I suggest that this would be a great idea around the big bonfire on the 27th!
There will be hot dogs and beer over there with rides in the wagons to take folks out.
Everyone is going to want to dress warmly though. Last year it rained, the year before it was very cold.
I did not move to Arizona to be cold[:/]

daveyou HAVE TO bring your harmonica's I mean they fit in a small place it would suck to NOT HAVE THEM and want them.

Randy, Bring the bass. I'll bring my guitar. ( i am almost tempted to bring my taylor but I will probably puss out and bring my Cheapo.

I really haven't been playing anything that would rock the house but I've been playing Jack johnson
"Taylor" "Flake" some more mello stuff.

of course I just cycled back around to alice in chains un[plugged but Any ole 12 bar blues jam would be decent also. I've got a hand ful of riffs we can jamm on and I'm sur eyou guys have plenty of ideas. so We could goof off for the firs tfew days and get a QUICK-TYPE set list going ad than actually play a SHOW-LIKE GIG.

of course as always without amplification our vouices will be shot rather quickly but screaming works ok when everyone drunk:ph34r:

You ass.

Bring me shiner bock for a repeat performance.

I have always wondered about the losers taking pictures of me having the time of my life. I suspect they hoard them and wonder what fun it would be to be me.

:P!

On New Year's eve 2004 were you on the beacon at Eloy having a heart-to-heart with one of the most famous posters of all time?

I was.

The very best stuff doesn't get posted.

I will crash your band, Aggie, like bagpipes hitting a banjo in a dumpster!

BRING IT!

Ohhhh, don't worry, Shiner Bock will be in tow! I might even bone up for a single case of Shiner 96. That will only be given to friends I know, since its expensive and special, unlike the indiscriminate passing out of Shiner Bock I tend to do.B|:P

Come on! That "bagpipes hitting a banjo in a dumpster " line deserves recognition.

Hook em!

FINE!:D

You old bag hit the strings hard! BUT, like the FFer you are at heart, you kept the camera pointed directly at you and yourself in frame like a true champ.

Hell, honestly, I hope t.u. and USC play each other and t.u. beats them, but that's another thread entirely.

Back on topic!

Musicians, any more of yall out there? Any of yall coming to the boogie?

I admit that was VERY FUCKING FUN!!!!!

but bad ass would be an exageration. I mean they were throwing PEOPLE at us.:D:D

sudsy and Myself even got hit with one of the bigger ones:P

( i still remember my initial thought. I thought a fight broke out. I though I was going to be bombarded by at least two people pushing eacho other around from over my shoulder. I REALLY did not want to get pushed into the fire with my guitar.:D and I definitely did not want to get pushed in WITHOUT my guitar.)

fortunately it was only what it was:ph34r:
