A sign of the times

Three years ago, when I bought a hybrid civic, I was about the only person on the road with it. People would honk at me if they had a hybrid, because they saw them so seldom.

Then people at Qualcomm (my company) started buying them. No suprise there since they're all a bunch of well-paid nerds. But I still didn't see them on the road much.

Lately, though, that's been changing. Amy doesn't say "hey, look, a Prius" any more, because she'd be saying it all day. And today I saw this at Perris as I was getting ready to leave:

hmmm, unfortunately I can never find my little Mazda in parking lots because it's usually hidden in one of the canyons among the SUVs.
