It's the moments like This that kind of let me know what it's all about.
I remember reading that. I have no feeling for kids at all, but that was a really beautiful thing.

>>As some here know, seven years ago we adopted three kids from Russia. I can say without reservation that it's the only true thing I've ever done or WILL ever do in my life that's really mattered.
We're proud and amazed at all three kids...who they are, what they do, how they see things...
It's wonderful. <<
....If / when I get frustrated with life, or whatever,
I look at these three stooges, and really do feel that "I" matter in some small way.
That the things I do...how I do them... have an effect on the world....be it a very tiny part!
...and that's enough for me.
(if that makes any sense?!

I'm sitting here listening to Van Morrison, Have I told You lately as I read that post, and I have tears running down my cheeks. That was VERY cool Twardo

Tough question. I think about that occasionally. As far as I can tell, the only things I have ever done that mattered were the moments of kindness I have shared with other people and animals.
It's those moments that help me feel like I have some sort of right to be here.
Not to say I haven't enjoyed my life--I have--but I would be very hard-pressed to argue that my life has been anything but irrelevant.
