Ashtanga 0 #3 December 7, 2005 You have obviously never taken the World of Coca Cola tour in Atlanta. At the end of it you can taste different flavors of coke from around the world. It tastes horrible in some countries.
riddler 0 #4 December 7, 2005 Been there - Coke World sure is in a nice part of town, too If you really want to learn about Coke or Pepsi, just get the sludge mix and eat a spoonful of it. You'll learn about what the rest of your body is trying to tell you when you drink it.Trapped on the surface of a sphere. XKCD
Shotgun 1 #5 December 7, 2005 What is the sludge mix? Is it the sugary, syrupy stuff that goes in those drinks?
riddler 0 #6 December 7, 2005 Yeah, officially, they all it "syrup". If you have ever worked in a fast food place (Wendy's alma matter, 87-88), they get the soft drinks in large cardboard boxes that are loaded with stuff - The soda machines that you put your cup under mix the sludge with water to make your drink. Try eating the stuff straight sometime. It'll either turn you off to soda entirely, or start a whole new addiction Ahh, the things we did on dares when we were younger Trapped on the surface of a sphere. Shotgun 1 #18 December 8, 2005 I spent one summer in England, and they didn't have Dr. Pepper anywhere... But then one day I went in this little shop/post office out in the country and saw that they had Dr. Pepper in the fridge, so of course I had to get one... And it tasted HORRIBLE - not anything like the DP over here.
