skinnyshrek 0 #1 December 8, 2005 Can you believe it's been 25 years since he was killed? I still think he should of stayed with the Beatles. tigra 0 #3 December 8, 2005 Living his life, finally settling down, raising his youngest son and finding some peace and happiness. From all that I've read about the Beatle's breakup, I don't think any of them really wanted to stay together. No fair blaming the wives!

skinnyshrek 0 #5 December 8, 2005 I just watched a documentary on it. They all blamed yoko for the break up. Even John admitted that it wasn't the same when she came into the picture. What do they know..http://www.skydivethefarm.com do you realize that when you critisize people you dont know over the internet, you become part of a growing society of twats? ARE YOU ONE OF THEM? tigra 0 #6 December 8, 2005 Paul had a new wife trying to call the shots too. And long before Yoko came into the picture, the 4 of them were not recording together in the studio.

Not quite true...too many pics and bios and chronologies and historical records from the studios testify otherwise. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. tigra 0 #15 December 8, 2005 Well, I'm not nearly the Beatles geek I once was and I was just a little kid when the Beatles broke up. Its been a while since I've read up on their history but I seem to recall reading that they were writing and recording separately by the time they did Sgt Pepper if not sooner. The White Album for sure, but Yoko was probably in the picture at that point. Yoko and Linda didn't help matters, but as a group, they were showing signs of wear and tear before the ladies showed up. SkydiveStMarys 0 #18 December 9, 2005 Like any relationship you enter while you are young there is going to be alot of growing up to do together. There are times that growing up together also means growing apart. These men were genius' and trying to figure out where they fit in with the "whole scheme" of things (life, love, family, musically). They all came to a point in time when they knew in their hearts that there was more for them individually then together. Separately they all did something different for the music world and the music world is better for it. Had they stayed together...well...it would have been ugly. SkydiveStMarys 0 #20 December 9, 2005 He did what he could in his own amusing lil' way He wasn't much to begin with anyway, but I love him for who or what he was...... a Beatle. FYI......Though Ringo did release music after the Beatles. BobbiA miracle is not defined by an event. A miracle is defined by gratitude.
goose491 0 #21 December 9, 2005 Lit a candle for him last night. Listened to his music and words in celebration and reflextion of his life. John was a man that my grandchildren will "remember". QuoteI still think he should of stayed with the Beatles. "No longer riding on the Marygo'round, I just had to let it go." "I was the Walrus, But now I'm John, and so dear friends you'll just have to carry on. The Dream is over." -Lennon My Karma ran over my Dogma!!! Airman1270 0 #22 December 9, 2005 I was never much into pornography, strip clubs, etc. My attitude was "what's the point?" (After all, I can stay home and not get any for a fraction of the price. ) But I did buy the PLAYBOY magazine with the Lennon interview, and kept it for many years. Then my sister gave me the complete interview, including the unpublished stuff, in hardback book form. At this point there was no reason to keep the magazine, so I looked at the pictures one more time and threw it out. Perhaps I should have kept it. The interview was conducted in September & October 1980. I reread the book last week. There was one place (page 105) where he reflected on Ghandi, Marty King, and other non-violent protesters, saying how ironic it is to be such an outspoken advocate for peace that you get shot. Speaking of irony, in another interview a few years earlier he mentioned that one of his favorite Beatle tunes was "Happiness is a Warm Gun." I wonder how many radio DJ's were either warned not to play the song or were disciplined for doing so? Sort of like when Freddie Mercury died of AIDS in the early '90's - suddenly the "classic rock" stations were no longer playing "Another One Bites the Dust." Cheers, Jon S. Sweetness 0 #23 December 9, 2005 Not about John Lennon specifically, but what is your favourite Beatles-song ? I love "Here comes the sun" ... has often made me smile and cry. I think it was written by Ringo. "Ha ! I laugh at danger and drop ice cubes down the vest of fear ..." (Blackadder)
