BillyVance 35 #1 December 13, 2005 There are only three of these indoor snow skiing domes in the world. Japan built the first one, not that they actually needed one. Then Shanghai built the second one. And now Dubai has one... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/in_pictures/4491210.stm Shanghai and Dubai, I don't think they ever see natural snow, so these would seem to be popular attractions to the locals. Still, it's amazing how much time and material go into building these behemoths... Personally, once you've been on the real slopes, you would get bored after one run down these artificial slopes anyway..."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban

BillyVance 35 #4 December 13, 2005 Wow... I did not know that. Is it popular there? I know New Zealand has some natural skiing during their winters... just curious."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
BillyVance 35 #5 December 13, 2005 Then it is my mistake... Dubai's is the 3rd largest. I had only previously heard of Japan's, which was featured on a show called "Extreme Engineering - Superstructures""Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban

Orlando would be a good place to put one...
