Broke 0 #76 December 15, 2005 Officer SuperKat sounds sexy... The figures you are sounding off sound like you got a gig with NYPD. Unless you really wanted to become a cop that's going to be a lot of hard work for the money. If you are looking for a gig where you can build a great pension and make a little more money you should look into NY Dept Of Sanitation. I played paintball with a guy who was in sanitation, and he would bust out his route quickly and get payed for a full 8 hours work after only putting in 4 hours. However the cop uniform looks better on just about anyone than the sanitation uniform would.Divot your source for all things Hillbilly. mailin 0 #77 December 15, 2005 You should ask AggieDave what happened to him when he was trying to get a police job and the people hiring him read his comments on this site... ... oh you can't, he doesn't post anymore, no doubt because of that same issue. You better pray hard no one gets this to people who can fire you - cause you've dug yourself a HUGE hole here, with no one to blame but yourself. This wasn't smart my friend. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." If you want to be screwed over, screw em over. If not, then don't. A lot of skydivers believe in karma as a sort of celestial scoresheet. I don't really buy into that. But I do believe that if you treat people well you get treated well in return; I've seen it happen over and over in skydiving and in many other areas. But in the end it's up to you. I guess I would prefer a world where people are more honest, even if the person they're being honest to is a big uncaring company. SuperKat 0 #81 December 16, 2005 No thanks. I'm just going to quit. Once, I leave I'm gone. There's no turning back. What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?

This wasn't smart my friend. I didn't do anything. I just spoke about what my initial intentions were. If whomever hires me reads this and fires me or rejects me as a result, oh well. Life goes on. It's out of my hands. Smart or not smart, at least I was put back on the right track. That's all that matters to me. What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo? karenmeal 0 #83 December 16, 2005 Are you serious in pretending like you've made some moral metamorphis because of criticism you received over the internet? I find that pretty hard to believe. If you don't know right from wrong at this point.. don't become a cop, you will certainly be placed in situations where you will be tempted and it will be your personal integrity that keep you from abusing your power. I think you should keep your current job and go do some volunteer work for a while. Maybe take an ethics class in the meantime. Save some money up too, so that if you decide that you still want to be a cop, you won't find yourself in some situation where you feel like lying is your best option. SuperKat 0 #84 December 16, 2005 QuoteAre you serious in pretending like you've made some moral metamorphis because of criticism you received over the internet?I really don't know what to tell you. You don't know me and you've judged me. That's okay because you're basing it on what you're reading. I didn't change my mind because people criticised me. If you would read my past posts you would understand where I'm coming from. A few of my friends in HR and and few of my police friends suggested that I do this to protect myself. Coming from them, I didn't think it was a problem. When people here pointed out that it was immoral I started to realize that they were right. Why are you hanging me when I didn't even commit the crime yet? I already opted to not lie about things. I decided to just go with it and take the risk. The reason why I had a change of mind about it because outsiders can give you a more unbiased point of view. Those that gave me the advice to protect myself know me personally and know my situation. So I guess you can say they just wanted what was best for me. This didn't happen, okay? This was prevented and I'm glad people here made me realize it was not the right approach to take. Haven't you ever made a mistake or had almost made a bad judgement call on a situation? What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?
