BillyVance 35 #9 December 19, 2005 Quote...if you shot yourself in the head? Uhh... not me, I don't think so, read my damn sig line! Besides, if you shoot yourself in the head through the brain, you're not going to feel anything, most likely. There's a reason doctors keep brain surgery patients awake. It doesn't hurt when they prod and probe into your exposed brain and you don't feel it anyway, but the real reason for staying awake is if the doctors fuck up something, the patient will respond somehow... I dunno really... a loud gun? Maybe a busted ear drum that might hurt for .0002 seconds before your brains get blown out... cocheese 0 #10 December 19, 2005 The sound although traveling slower than the bullet has a shorter distance to travel before all hearing is lost. Also i don't think we really die that quick.I'd wear ear plugs just in case so you don't end up like Billy.
Loonix 0 #11 December 19, 2005 Quote...if you shot yourself in the head? most likely not. Sound travels slower than the bullet. Yes, the sound has less distance to travel, but you don't hear things when the sound hits your ears. You hear when the nerve signals reaches your brain, which takes a bit. There must also be a hearing-center in the brain to register it, and it would probably be too messed up to recieve anything by that time. Of course, this means you have to hit well. People have survived getting things through their heads... in that case, I guess you'd hear it..
