AlexCrowley 0 #51 December 19, 2005 I see that you've met Icon. Please see my previous post where I prove that aliens exist using the same 'evidence'. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
NtheSeaOrSky 0 #52 December 19, 2005 i can barely figure out how to resize the darn pics to get them uploaded like i said, a neurologic dog cant torque its body into any position not otherwise possible (they dont bend their joints backwards or anything) but if you refuse to believe science, then i guess you will continue to believe in your 'faith' of choice Life is not fair and there are no guarantees... AlexCrowley 0 #53 December 19, 2005 No, I agreed with you. If the dog has psychological problems then it may very well be able to look up. Even though many would argue the definition of 'looking up' in this particular case. There's no faith involved in the discussion. A normal healthy dog, based on the available scientific (and not 'photoshopic') evidence, is unable to look up - without the need to modify its body position or elevate its forepaws. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
NtheSeaOrSky 0 #54 December 19, 2005 CNS (central nervous system) NOT psycological the position is physically possible ie they are able to for a neurologic dog the stimulus is neurologic for a non-neurologic dog the stimulus would be food, person, bird, horse about to trample its head in, etc ,etc. you are pretty bored again today huh? dont you have a car to work on or something??Life is not fair and there are no guarantees... AlexCrowley 0 #55 December 19, 2005 QuoteCNS (central nervous system) NOT psycological Sure, split hairs if you must. Humans have an appendix, physically we're supposed to be able to absorb poisons in our system - however, as you know we have evolved beyond the need to use it and if we ingested a bottle of rat poison would discover quickly that it is no longer effective. Do you see my point? The car fell through and wouldnt fit in my office anyway. This week I'm learning Japanese and 3d game development while trying to understand the details of canine physiology. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.

ln311 0 #61 December 19, 2005 As Mr. Sloan always says, there is no "I" in team, but there is an "I" in pie. And there's an "I" in meat pie. Meat is the anagram of team... I don't know what he was talking about.
yamtx73 0 #62 December 19, 2005 Can dogs look up? Just ask my dachshund, EVERYTHING is up to him... lol Yes, they can (and do) look upThe only naturals in this sport shit thru feathers...
AlexCrowley 0 #63 December 19, 2005 I'm sorry, as we've proved pretty much conclusively here, unless the dog has a CNS disorder it is unable to look up - it just isnt natural for them. AlexCrowley 0 #66 December 19, 2005 alw, dogs have an excellent sense of hearing and smell. At no point do they look upwards. It's all done using their other senses. C'mon. I know this is complex but its perfectly logical if you give it more than a cursory thought. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking. Lindercles 0 #72 December 20, 2005 The obvious problem here is that people are interpreting "look up" to mean "tilt their head back so that their eyes are cast in an upward direction." But that activity is not so much "looking up" as it is "tilting head back." In order to truly "look up" one must be able to cast their eyes in an upward direction, while keeping their head stationary. An act that everyone knows dogs are utterly incapable of. NtheSeaOrSky 0 #75 December 20, 2005 I think the better question is Alex, can you lick your own balls? If not, does that make the dog a superior species???Life is not fair and there are no guarantees...
