funks 1 #1 December 22, 2005 I have spent a bazillion fucking hours in the fucking malls trying to do my xmas shopping. I walk around with no bags in my hand doing nothing but rubbernecking at all the little mall sluts, I then leave empty handed realizing I have accomplished absolutely nothing. Anybody else having this same problem?
squink 0 #2 December 22, 2005 Not so much. The little mall sluts aren't that appealing today. ...the door was open SKYDIVERGIRLS.COM

AlexCrowley 0 #4 December 22, 2005 this year, thanks to much intervention from the pharmacutical industry, will be my first not standing in a store at 5.45pm on christmas eve among half empty shelves and 100s of other dickheads just like me. go me! kelel01 1 #6 December 22, 2005 Nope. That's the good thing about having NO money. Of course, the bad thing is that you can't buy presents for your loved ones until March, which makes Christmas kinda sad. But March 11th will be a special day indeed! RhondaLea 4 #7 December 22, 2005 QuoteAnybody else having this same problem? No. I don't celebrate Christmas. If I'm going to get someone a present, it will be at some odd time during the year because it struck me as appropriate. rlIf you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. masterrig 1 #10 December 22, 2005 I feel for ya' and understand your anguish, my brother! Been there done that. Shopping 'brain-fart'. Besides, I hate malls. I'd rather somebody beat the crap outa me than go to the mall! I think of who I have to buy for, make a mental list and hit the small stores. livendive 8 #11 December 22, 2005 I set a personal record this year. I finished my christmas shopping at 7:30 pm on December 19th, and without setting foot in a mall. I'm probably still a fucktard though. Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew)
Rebecca 0 #12 December 22, 2005 When I start shopping for those who don't have a "sure-fire" gift option, I go in somewhere broadly appealing, like Barnes & Noble (online too), and just open my mind. It sounds weird, but I just shop for books / wine / gadgets / entertainment while thinking of them. Not "What do I get them?" but "What was the last really good conversation we had? Have I ever made them laugh?" and so on...personal stuff between us, inside jokes... It works, and it makes the shopping enjoyable, hokie as it sounds. I also treat myself to a yummy coffee, and a thing or two for myself (within budgetary limits)... Btw, if I didn't do this, I would go insane. I hate pressure shopping. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

I usually stumble across things that causes me to think of someone and think, they might get a kick out that or, I'll bet they can really use that. Usually, it's in a store that I just happen to go into. Pressure shopping? HATE it! I try to form, as I mentioned, a mental list then just whatever 'strikes' me in the store.
