I have seen a couple of TV sitcoms that dealt with that, but one of the all-time best-written television show episodes ever (IMO), was an episode of The Jeffersons when George and Louise Jefferson had an incredibly obnoxious house guest who, after royally pissing everyone off, died. George got stuck with delivering the eulogy and the camera showed the outward appearance of a somber funeral but as they showed an individual's face, they had a voiceover of what the person was thinking.
