shropshire 0 #26 December 24, 2005 Hi All, I can take it or leave it .... not in a Cringe way.... but the U.K is small and althrough we live on opposite sides (ish) of the country (Cambridge & Shropshire (strangely)) it's only 2 hours , so our family see each other regularly. It's great to eat and drink too much tho' and prezzies are always welcome.. Dont forget ... we need pictures of you folk wearing the stuff that Granny has knitted for you and enjoying yourselves.. Anyway, here's a BIG Ho Ho Ho from the U.K and I hope that everyone has the Christmas that they want. Now where's that corkscrew.......... Best Wishes, (.)Y(.) NWFlyer 2 #27 December 24, 2005 QuoteI had to introduce my parents to cable for exactly that reason. Finally about 6 months ago they converted. I mean, I love my family, but dialup is assinine. Not an option, either (fairly rural area just outside of a smallish town). They've got satellite for the TV and were (as I said above) considering satellite internet now that it's gotten a bit more mature, but it sounds like DSL's moving out to their area. Unfortunately, there are still areas of this country where there aren't any viable high-speed options.
