THE MOST EMBARASSING MOMENT IN MY SKYDIVING CAREER: (and if you know me, that bar is set pretty high)

:D

I can't afford more than a few coached jumps, but I definitely wanna get one with him!

Yes, but pack jobs aren't ;)

It depends on how many times I break my "diet" and go to the Bent Prop for food. If I do that often, it'll be less coached jumps. I've got 51 jumps worth of money (50 normal, one high-alt) set aside, plus some for "incidental" money, which will be proper meals, coach and video pack jobs, etc.

you can't afford $6 for a coach jump with some of the best?!

Let me try to say what Arthur said a little differently.

You *may* wish to reallocate your budget a bit; rather than 51 jumps, you may decide to go for 47 or 48 jumps, but have several of those be coached jumps with these folks.

Like he said, these are amazing resources. Getting them for $6 is something to take advantage of. Consider sacrificing quantity for quality a bit.

Did you notice the number of jumps listed in his profile? ;)

Edit to add: Damn, Gia beat me to it by 1 minute. Drats, foiled again. :P

I definitely can see how great of a deal it is, but it's entirely likely that I won't jump again until March or so after the boogie (winter and all that), and I want to get my coach rating. We're going to have a class at my DZ in early spring, and that requires 100 jumps. So I'm going to try and get as many coach jumps as possible, but I definitely need to try as best as I can to hit 100 jumps whilst I'm there.

Yeah, I'm going to get sexually assaulted with whipped cream, I suspect :D

I'll hit 100 either on Jan 1 or before lunch on Jan 2, most likely. This gives y'all plenty of time to get something hilarious planned B|

Fair enough (plus there's PIE!). You might want to ask if you can go through the coach class anyway even though you can't apply for your rating till 100 jumps (if you don't get to 100 at Eloy). Just a thought.

Without knowing you or anything about you, I can say that most folks seem to realize by 100 jumps that they're not yet ready to teach. You could be the rare exception that is ready when you meet the bare-bones minimum, but I've yet to meet such a jumper. ;)

Oh, I won't be ready to teach by 100, but I sure as hell won't have another opportunity to take the course for a long time after that. It's more a matter of having the rating for when I _AM_ ready, or at least trying to get it.
