Guest #3 December 31, 2005 QuoteThinking of buying a new bed - does anyone have or have used the aero-bed? Saw one on the home shopping channel and thought they might provide me with the delicate support I need. We bought a queen-size at the local Bed & Bath franchise. In addition to inflating to queen-size proportions, the Aerobed also has stabilizing bladders that run along the long bottom sides. It's comfortable and stable. It holds air pretty well, but if it gets a little low or you want to firm it up a bit, run the blower. Be advised it's loud like a vacuum cleaner. Time to fully inflate is as advertised: about three minutes (I timed it). It's pricey, but it's well-made, and it's the perfect solution if you don't have a permanent spare bed (we set mine up in my home office). The nice part about that is that when your guest-pests are gone, you can just open the valve and *whoosh*. Roll it up and put it away."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat."
NWFlyer 2 #4 January 1, 2006 I agree with markharju's assessment. They rock. I am in the process of converting my guest room into a full-time home office and am planning to buy one to use in there when I do have guests. Pretty awesome and much better than any other inflatable mattress I've ever slept on. Spring for the pillow-top one. (Overstock.com has them pretty cheap)."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. SpeedRacer 1 #5 January 1, 2006 there are cheaper alternatives out there, but they generally suck. (ie: deflate during the night) Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------
