Rebecca 0 #1 January 2, 2006 Anyone else feeling a bit "bleh" about it? I can't seem to care. I was hoping that I'd feel a bit more, I dunno, excited, motivated, renewed, something... Instead, it's more like, "Here we go again. Sigh." Anyone else have the new year's blahs? you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk? NlghtJumper 0 #3 January 2, 2006 Well, there really is no change here either. I dont really have any great care for the New Year... hell my way of bringing it in was sleeping all day. To me, New Years, was just another day that the DFac was going to have a really long line to get some food... waltappel 1 #6 January 2, 2006 QuoteHey Walt, c'mere a sec... Not a chance--I'm giving it a cool down period so I don't get my ass kicked, even if I do deserve it. I think a lot of how you feel about the new year depends on how you start it. I spent it just doin' stuff I like doin'. I made a couple of skydives, met some new friends and hung out with them, hung out with my cat, and fed the raccoons. Maybe not all that exciting to a lot of people, but I kinda like it, so I'm thinkin' it's gonna be a nice, laidback year. You, on the other hand, will probably be into all sorts of evil things. Don't forget to invite me!!!! Walt

Lindercles 0 #10 January 2, 2006 I'm with you on the Crappy Stinkin' New Year Bandwagon. And pretty much all other holidays for that matter. There's something about the idea that you're supposed to feel a certain way on a certain day that doesn't sit well with me. Me too. And I know I wasn't the only one feeling that way. I think anticipation got the better of me. It's like we set ourselves up for a fall. All the scurrying and stress of Christmas plus the 'celebration' of new year's really just combine for a nice big fat let-down once it's all over. Rebecca 0 #15 January 2, 2006 FEDERAL holiday, sweetie. I'm at work right now trying to resist the urge to pull a Margot Kidder, running around screaming like an insane banshee. April 14, Good Friday, is the next day off around here. That's a long time. Rebecca 0 #19 January 2, 2006 Whatever. I'm in too pissy a mood to argue, but today is NOT officially designated as one of those days that EVERYONE in corporate America gets free, such as Good Friday and the 4th of July. Some companies have chosen to shut down, and some, like mine, just gave us an extra personal day. Which I was too stupid to use. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
