skymedic 0 #27 January 4, 2006 Remmy...Draegers are still considered SCBA's. And that's what I used for alot of my HAZ-MAT experience. It's just considered a closed circuit SCBA over an open circuit positive pressure unit as we use at the FD. Draeger also makes open circuit SCBA. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman.... Zenister 0 #28 January 4, 2006 Quote I don't think $20/hour is that much money. that is also more of a starting figure.. with overtime and seniority some W VA miners make upwards of 80k.. which is ALOT nearly everywhere in West Virginia...____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. base428 1 #31 January 4, 2006 QuoteI seriously doubt with the business you are in you are truely in touch with the mining community and their families. Several of my family members and a few friends work or have worked in the mines. QuoteHell, she got married at 14 - thats still a state law in WV isn't it? WV is just like most other states - minimum age 18 to get married (16-17 with parental consent).(c)2010 Vertical Visions.
