BillyVance 35 #10 January 3, 2006 Hey, how about that Sugar Bowl game between Georgia and West Virginia? Georgia looks like they're getting back into it and making it exciting, now WV's leading 31-28 after shooting out to a 21-0 lead..."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
BillyVance 35 #11 January 3, 2006 Whoa... Georgia just scored again to close the gap to 38 - 35 with over 5 minutes to go! Can they get the ball back and score again? BillyVance 35 #14 January 3, 2006 QuoteAnd you KNOW I'm watching this game. Don't even think I forgot that you predicted that the SEC would go 2-2. Hater. I believe I predicted 3-3... which is exactly what will happen if Georgia doesn't do something now. Oops... WV's punter just ran 15 yards for a 1st down... geez. What's weird is that the SEC teams I felt would win, have lost, and the teams I felt would lose, won... I'll always remember the ugliest game-winning field goal in history that beat the nation's #1 passing offensive team. One of my co-workers brought a tiny TV to work and we all huddled around watching that play. A roar erupted from our tiny crowd when that ball was kicked, and an eerie silence, accompanied by astonished faces, followed the signal. That was bizarre, but exciting. Props to 'Bama for sure. And Props to WV. For as much as they scared us Longhorns this year, they damn well better have won!

Hell, I give props to TT's quarterback Cody Hodges for coming back on the field with an injured knee and throwing the TD pass. That was amazing. That will make this one of the best Cotton Bowls in history. Man, we made him run for his life most of the game... Lindercles 0 #17 January 3, 2006 No, we didn't play them, but for a while they were the third undefeated team, and "threatening" to take over 2nd. Truth is they were never really that close, but anytime there's three undefeateds there's contoversy. And where's there's controversy there's ESPN hyping it. Especially if it might somehow benefit USC.

Not only that, but I may just be a National Champion (alum) in 2 days. 2005=UT Baseball National Championship AND San Antionio Spurs Nat'l Championship. Did I mention I grew up in SA? 2006=POSSIBLE Texas Nat'l Champs AND POSSIBLE Spurs Nat'l Champs. Two fabulous years in a row? I may just have a heart attack.
