BillyVance 35 #1 January 7, 2006 I'm not ready to let football season go just yet. I thought I would put up a poll and see who thought what movie was the best ever made about football, whether its high school, college or pro. I just watched "Remember The Titans" earlier tonight (had seen it before), and it inspired this poll. So... take a gander and make your pick, and explain why. The movies are listed alphabetically, along with the major stars, just so we don't get any movies or their remakes confused. I would have to go with "Friday Night Lights" for a wonderful story well done, but some others were also just as good. It was a hard choice, because I liked "Rudy" and "Remember The Titans" too. "Junction Boys" wasn't bad for a TV movie, but it's not as great as the others."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
NWFlyer 2 #2 January 7, 2006 How could you forget Varsity Blues? And more seriously, North Dallas Forty or The Longest Yard (the original of course). (Oh, and thanks for the reminder to add Friday Night Lights to my Netflix queue. I've been meaning to watch that one."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. I left out the ones that involved some comedy, but you're right about the original Longest Yard. That's one of my favorites. Don't forget the last option in the poll is "your choice"...
