micro 0 #1 January 8, 2006 Touching story on the nightly news right now... a 54 year old grandmother who is a TN Natl Guardswoman left for Iraq today. That is not too remarkable you may be saying. What IS remarkable is that this grandma's unit is NOT being deployed. Another local unit IS. And there is a single mother in that unit w/ a young child. This grandmother went to her commander and volunteered to go in the single mother's place. How incredibly selfless. I hope she is safe over in the sandbox. I miss Lee. And JP. And Chris. And...
