Evelyn 0 #1 January 8, 2006 So trying to plan out my year of vacation. Sorry, I'm one of those too organized people. So far plan to attend Lost Prarie, Chick's Rock and Eloy Holiday Boogie. Any other boogies I should consider? Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

TheAnvil 0 #5 January 8, 2006 Byron and the Great American Boogie in Davis. Anytime Hollister, CA throws a shin-dig, boogie or not, it's worth going to. Zhills for Easter. Dirty Sanchez Brothers in Sebastian. Halloween in Thomaston is supposed to be good - I'm going this year. The Hog Flop Boogie in Palatka, FL has gotten better every year - another great one if you come out East. Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!! skybytch 273 #9 January 8, 2006 My tentative plans for 2006 - Someplace for Memorial Day. American Boogie, Davis for sure. Probably Lost Prairie. Maybe WFFC. Byron Boogie, Byron for sure if it happens this year. Maybe MOAB. Holiday Boogie in Eloy is a possibility. Most of the above depends on what job I find, whether or not I get the AFF rating and how much financial aid I end up getting for school.
monkycndo 0 #10 January 8, 2006 QuoteAnytime Hollister, CA throws a shin-dig, boogie or not, it's worth going to. Especially because Vinnie provides some of the entertainment. The recipe is simple: invite Vinnie, add Patron, and wait for the comedy to begin. He can even offer a FJC for BASE from a ladder for people afraid of heights.50 donations so far. Give it a try. skydiverbrian 0 #11 January 8, 2006 I see a trend developing here. There's more boogies than anyone with a non-skydiving job could attend. Hard to choose. In a world full of people, only some want to fly... isn't that crazy! --Seal

NWFlyer 2 #13 January 8, 2006 The only absolute definite no questions asked is Lost Prairie. I'm saving up vacation in hopes of going to the Sydney Skydivers boogie at the end of 2006 (plus a little time exploring Australia), but I'll figure out a way to do at least a few days at LP. Probably several others that I can do over a long weekend... American Boogie, Byron, Perris(?) Memorial Day. A lot depens on where I'm traveling once I get on some client projects... it could open up lots of weekend possibilities."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. O'Rourke

I just know I'm gonna be off all week and I'm going to be in the Keys and Florida!!! Dublin Boogie (already been covered). Some Farm Boogies... Some Palatka Boogies... I hope to make it to Eloy this year... Skyfest 2006 Maybe WFFC...

TheAnvil 0 #16 January 8, 2006 You only have photographic evidence! My memory says it never happened! Prove it! Er...uggg...uhhh...you do have photographs....er...dammit. Tequila...I love thee... Fellas, Hollister kicks ass all the time. The DZO is awesome, the plane is awesome, the vibe is awesome, the jumpers are awesome - go there! I oscillate DZ's because I travel and stuff, but I tell you this - if you are in Cali and miss a Hollister shin-dig, you are missing out.
