Done with Russia paper, #1

I am taking International Business this quarter. Had to write tonight about the implications of an American company exporting their product into Russia. (I did Kraft exporting Maxwell House coffee and that will be my continuous example for the rest of my papers.)

I have to write a paper each week about Russia, next week will be a paper on cultural aspects of the country related to business relations/ culture changes an American may have to make if doing business in this country.

If anyone has been there for an extended period of time or does some kind of business there, let me know and I may bother you for questions!

I was there for a few months...my better 1/2 has been there often.
In fact she was working with her airline trying to open a route to there, for 'business' reasons it didn't work out...yet anyway.

I have an extensive background in Manufacturing.
While in the Urals, We were staying in a small village waiting to get out adopted children.

They had never seen Americans there before so we had some 'interesting' experiences...one of which was a long tour through a pump manufacturing plant...followed by an in depth discussion regarding the economics of keeping the plant going.

Gave me some real insight as to the problems EXPORTING things from there, don't know about the reverse...but I do know that shopping there was an adventure!

Maybe you could write a dissertation about the American Mafia exporting their "craft" into the Russian Black Market?
