jumpergirl 0 #1 January 12, 2006 Have you ever heard of this place? Apparently it's an online college. They say they are accredited, but I can't find anything about them here. I'm taking it to mean it's "too good to be true." What do you think?
jumpchikk 0 #2 January 12, 2006 Kaplan writes the graduate test books. They also offer classes at different accredited universities for test procedures. I had a book for the LSAT by Kaplan.
jumpergirl 0 #3 January 12, 2006 Yeah, they told me about that. The advisor that I spoke with said they were preparing students for tests and decided to go ahead and teach students as well. My problem is that I have spent WAY to much time and money going to school to have found a "good deal" and waste it on a "non-accredited" school. Unfortunately, I spent a year, 3 terms I think, at a "university" that said all of their classes would transfer, and NONE did when I eventually went to another community college. I had to take the same classes over. I can't afford that mistake again.
BIGUN 1,450 #4 January 12, 2006 Kaplan is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. One of the six regional accreditation associations recognized be DOE. However, if your degree program requires state licensure, you should check with that State to ensure Kaplan's degree program has received the necessary state approvals required for that licensure. For example, teaching certificates, psychology, etc. You should also check to see how companies perceive that type of degree.Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
