deeter 0 #57 January 12, 2006 Yes. It is a trend. I work at a major upscale "lifestyle" type shopping center. Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle, ect.... This low-rider, no-butt style, especially in the jean department, allows for a girl to feel "comfortable and accepted" with a huge gut and "love handles". No "IMHO" about it. It just is. 15-17 years of age with shitting eating habits and not enought exercise, that "comfortable and accepted" feeling won't be so comfortable as a morbidly obese adult. But then again, I didn't feel so "comfortable", either, now looking back at photos of myself in Guess jeans, that had been cropped so tight around the calves by my mom's sewing machine that I couldn't feel my feet. Trend. Funny thing, that. To each, their own.

PLFXpert 0 #61 January 12, 2006 Can we say coochie-cutters? I believe in dressing fairly modestly on a normal basis but all rules are out on the window in a bikini--the smaller, the better, I say!Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

PLFXpert 0 #65 January 12, 2006 Honey, we could go all day. But the kind of stamina I'm more interested in begins with wearing my low-ryders and ends with them crinkled up on the floorPaint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
VanillaSkyGirl 6 #66 January 12, 2006 QuoteDamn you all! I'm standing by my low-ryders! Even though I enjoyed wearing them for the last few years, I am not standing by low-riders. Everyone in the world has worn that look to death...several seasons ago. Personally, I am in love with the newer, slightly higher-rise look. Sexy, well-fitting higher-rise jeans can look very hot! PLFXpert 0 #73 January 12, 2006 Please don't misconstrue what I said as meaning I ONLY own low-ryders. In fact, I have one pair. My point is that they have have their place. And, while yes, they have been worn to death, they like anything else will remain, come back, etc. And yes, I actually get paid for fashion reviews Scary, isn't it? Edited to add: I stand by my original point that the reason most of the time they do NOT look good is b/c they are not worn correctly, often the wrong size. Also edited to add: No disrespect to VSG and her haute high-rises!Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
