diablopilot 2 #1 January 13, 2006 Forgive me if this is old news but I haven't had cable in like 5 years. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
AggieDave 6 #2 January 13, 2006 They did back when I cared about MTV, but after I got out of High School I just really couldn't give a crap about MTV after that.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
dustin19d 0 #3 January 13, 2006 Welcome to the Present I think they stoped playing straight music videos like 10+ years ago
BillyVance 35 #4 January 13, 2006 Yep... I remember when MTV first aired. I stayed up all night with my best friend just watching the new videos. They would have a VJ on once in a while. Nowadays, there's nothing but bullshit... same for VH1... CMT actually shows more music vidoes than MTV and VH1 combined... BlindBrick 0 #5 January 13, 2006 It got so bad that MTV actually launched a seperate channel to play music vids on. It's called MTV2, IIRC. -Blind"If you end up in an alligator's jaws, naked, you probably did something to deserve it."

Lindercles 0 #7 January 13, 2006 Don't lie dude. You watched it for Martha Quinn. We all did. You'd suffer through hours of videos just to get a glimpse. And when she left, we watched it for Tabitha Soren. Damn, Kurt Loder pissed me off!

nanook 1 #10 January 13, 2006 QuoteDamn, Kurt Loder pissed me off I think Adam Curry was the worst. Not only did he have the "Hair Band" look; he had a chick Hair Band look. MTV to teens: A place where you can rebel against your 35 year old uncool mother. . .by listening to what a bunch of 50 year olds tell you what is cool._____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
peacefuljeffrey 0 #11 January 13, 2006 Where the fuck were you about 17 years ago when they stopped playing music videos? I always scratched my head when they started playing Monty Python's Flying Circus, but I didn't bitch because I love the show. But then they started with "House of Style" and other absolute fuckin' NONSENSE. Shit, do bands still even bother to MAKE videos for their songs anymore? Remember when they were all absorbed in it? Ahh, those were the days. Who wasn't freaked out by the mutated hands in "Our Love's in Jeopardy"? Or the creepy glowing eyes in "Total Eclipse of the Heart? Or Top Petty cutting up that blonde Alice in "Don't Come Around Here No More"? And how did the guys in Wang Chung move around so fast? -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind...
