They did back when I cared about MTV, but after I got out of High School I just really couldn't give a crap about MTV after that.

Yep... I remember when MTV first aired. I stayed up all night with my best friend just watching the new videos. They would have a VJ on once in a while. Nowadays, there's nothing but bullshit... same for VH1... CMT actually shows more music vidoes than MTV and VH1 combined...

It got so bad that MTV actually launched a seperate channel to play music vids on. It's called MTV2, IIRC.

I always scratched my head when they started playing Monty Python's Flying Circus, but I didn't bitch because I love the show. But then they started with "House of Style" and other absolute fuckin' NONSENSE.

Shit, do bands still even bother to MAKE videos for their songs anymore? Remember when they were all absorbed in it?

Ahh, those were the days. Who wasn't freaked out by the mutated hands in "Our Love's in Jeopardy"? Or the creepy glowing eyes in "Total Eclipse of the Heart? Or Top Petty cutting up that blonde Alice in "Don't Come Around Here No More"? And how did the guys in Wang Chung move around so fast?
