briguy 0 #26 January 16, 2006 Quote I just feel wrong about walking up to a ticket booth and paying 10 bucks to see something that is a total fictionalization of the true events. Do I want to see a director’s interpretation/fantasy? did you see munich? i ask because that's what spielberg did. as for america becoming pussified because a bunch of people on a message board said they didn't want to see a movie, i think that might be generalizing just a bit. eensy weensy ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

ChrisL 2 #29 January 16, 2006 QuoteQuotei don't need a movie to relive that morning. i remember EXACTLY where I was when I heard about the first plane collision That’s how I feel about it. What could possibly be told about flight 93 that is not already known. Anything added in this movie is pure speculation. I can already tell by the trailers that it will be a manipulative, over dramatized, sappy tear jerker. I really hope people aren’t interested in rushing out to see this movie when it opens. It doesn’t really matter to me if the movie is good or bad. I just feel wrong about walking up to a ticket booth and paying 10 bucks to see something that is a total fictionalization of the true events. Do I want to see a director’s interpretation/fantasy? If the director knows something about what happened on that plane, the public should not have to pay for that information. I totally agree with your views on this. We all know what happened and dont need to see some idiots "artistic interpretation" or absurdly patriotic and overly sentimental dramatization of those events. Save the film for the next generation and then make it a documentary, not a ridiculous hollywood feature.
