I have gotten very good at walking on loose rocks. That is about all we have covering the majority of the base here. We had quite a few twisted ankles when we first got out here from people trying their best to negoitate the larger of the rocks. Its annoying because for the first month or two I couldnt run if I needed to get somewhere quickly because I would trip and fall. I will be glad to get back to solid ground.

**yes I do realize that geared toward the seaman who started the thread. just wanted to add my 2 cents

At least it's mostly just dirt here in Iraq.

Trust me, we have our share of dirt too. As far as the eye can see, once you get past the perimeter. The rocks are just to hold down all the dust from all the rotary wing aircraft we have constantly flying and all the damn wind that never seems to stop!
