SpeedRacer 1 #1 January 20, 2006 So, pretty soon I will buy a new computer. I'm giving my old computer to my Dad (a PC, running Windows XP Professional). I will leave all the applications (MS OFFICE, etc etc) installed. (yes I'll make sure to remove all the porn first) So he has this old obsolete IMAC. He can't run many programs in use today because of that. And the can't burn CDs. He does use MS Office however. So what is the easiest way to transfer all his documents etc. onto my computer, seeing as how he can't burn CDs?? do we have to load them all one by one onto little floppy discs? BTW, my new computer will have probably have Windows XP Media. Anyone know how well it works compared to my current OS?? nacmacfeegle 0 #3 January 20, 2006 Has he got a USB port? Try one of those little USB memory sticks. kevinwhelan 0 #4 January 20, 2006 Download a demo version of pcmaclan and hook them up with an ethernet cable. Demo only works for about 2 hours after each restart. "be honest with yourself.
