Kimblair13 0 #1 January 20, 2006 So...here in Oregon it's been raining alot! Our field usually floods...but now our whole property has. Our garage to the South is covered with about 8 inches of water...our entire backyard is under water, along with driveway. Even my Dad's shop is under water. U can't get into my house without getting wet or walking on logs my Dad strategically placed to walk on. Crazy thing is...my Dad knew this would happen cuz the drains behind our house are plugged, he's called the city numerous times to get them out...then only this morning now that it's in my sisters bedroom, do they come out to fix it. Bastards.

pajarito 0 #5 January 20, 2006 I went to Portland once. The snow on the mountain was great. If you weren't on the mountain, however, it was raining every minute of every day of every week that I was there. Damn! I was starting to get depressed and I don't have to live there all the time. I feel for you.

Don't wait for the government to help you - look how much good that did the Katrina folks. Fix it yourself. Get creative. Call friends and neighbors to help. The way people got things done in the old days, before we were brainwashed to believe that only the government is capable of helping us.

The cement drain has collapsed under the railroad tracks...we probably could fix it...but we'd have to tear up the railraod by our house...which I'm sure would get us in alot of trouble, as trains go by regularly. If it were something we could have fixed, it would have already been fixed.

Maybe this is why me and my friends back in Florida love the rain. After a while, you just dont let it bother you and you go out and play anyway! I love the rain, but it restricts my skydiving window... its currently a love/hate relationship A man will do anything for the right woman, and when that woman destroys him, that man will become a hunk of meat with the common sense of a rodeo clown! ~ Christopher Titus
