Biggest Loser Contest...Need your Help!!!

So...today I paid $15 to participate in the Biggest Loser contest to lose as much weight/% fat reduction in 15 weeks with my customers. There are 40 of us who have registered in this contest so there is significant amount of JUMP TICKET money to win!!!!

Tell me your quickest/best weight loss secret!!! Low carbs? High fiber? snacking?no snacking? cardio? strength training? how much/how often? Give me your plan.

Seriously... take a healthy approach. Eat until you are satisfied then STOP. Stick to whole foods as much as you can, avoid processed crap, empty calories and simple carbohydrates. Have healthy snacks available for when you're hungry. Go for dense, nutrient-rich stuff that will stave off hunger. Exercise regularly, a mix of cardio and strength training. Try to find some changes that are sustainable.

Unless you just want to win the contest and it's not about health or positive changes. In which case, see my original suggestion.

doesnt matter what workout it is so long as there is one ... you would really be surprised how little it takes

expend more than you intake

if this is a long drawn out thing, when your weight loss plateaus you can kick start your metabolism by altering caloric intake throughout the week

no secret plan, just lots of hard work pays off
Life is not fair and there are no guarantees...

I highly reccomend the Jello-J Sex and Fruit Diet Plan.

Every Morning.. Morning Sex before getting out of bed.

Then only Fruit for breakfast.

Sneak Home (Or into a Broom Closet at Work) for a Nooner.

Then Only Fruit for Lunch.

For Dinner.. A Nice Normal healthy meal.

And then Sex twice before going to bed.

Best Diet Plan ever. Guarenteed to work and make you a Happier person the same time.

it all starts with your grocery list. lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. as mentioned before, stay away from processed stuff. as a general rule, the closer something is to the form you would find it in nature, the better. use splenda instead of sugar. metamucil 3 times a day to keep things moving. lots of water is good, but you'll get tired of it, so try the clearly american stuff from walmart. back to the grocery list thing, only bring home healthy stuff, and then when you get the urge to eat, your choices will be limited to healthy stuff. think past the end of the contest, if you set up a lifestyle that you can easily maintain, the payoff will be much greater than jump tickets. don't make yourself miserable with your diet because when you reach your target weight or the end of the contest comes, you will just revert back to your old ways and everything will come back with a vengance. i've recently lost 20 pounds this way and haven't even been able to go to the gym yet. as far as exercise, do not overlook the importance of resistance training.

As for working out... cardio is probably your best bet... cycling, walking anything that gets the blood flowing... weight trainging, anything that builds muscle will be counter productive (muscle is denser than fat so you'd actually put on weight at first)...
The only naturals in this sport shit thru feathers...

Pay attention to portion sizes. Eat lots of fruit and veggies. Stay away from sugars (i.e. desserts, syrup flavors for coffee, etc.). Workout 5-6 times a week (approx. 45 min - 1 hour) alternating cardio and weights (every other day cardio, every other day weights). Drink water. Skip alcohol. Stop drinking caffiene.

Day One - Ex-lax
Fast for 5 days
Drink a liter of water each day.
Walk briskly or jog for three miles everyday.
Eat one small bowl of high-fiber cereal w/skim milk everyday at lunchtime.
1 piece of fruit for dinner.
Take vitamins each day.
No hard liquor.
Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Strength training is going to make you gain a few pounds in muscle... but of course... if you start doing some intense cardio... you'll probably gain muscle anyways... and more muscle will make you burn more calories... I guess it might all balance out...

Developing an eating disorder works well... but I would discourage that... :P... greatly.

If you're interested ... "The Runner's Diet" is a very useful book for being a healthier eater. I played nutritionist for myself after having read that book and created daily meal plans. Call my crazy (and I'm sure you will) but I count the calories in most of what I eat. I keep a running daily total and the whole bit. Okay, so I'm a bit obsessive.

Run. Run a lot. Drink lots of water. Run some more. Well, that's what I do at least. I suppose any cardio will work.

Awww.. yah I know I made a joke at your thread but the truth is I JUST saw you over New Years and if you lost any weight you'd slip through the street cracks. If you dont feel healthy, thats one thing. But as far as you needing to be thinner... ridiculous! You look fabulous.

That's what I was thinking...don't mean to be negative about your contest, but I don't see how you'd have a snowball's chance in hades if anyone else in the thing is actually over weight...:S -Unless you try amputation. I've heard that's about the fastest method. :)
