Life of a fluorescent Bulb

Recommended Posts

So what is it?

I have a desk lamp that is probably at least 15 years old. I think it may have the original bulb in it, which is showing considerable blackness on the ends - especially one side. I've noticed recently that it tends to shutoff by itself, with only staying on several minutes at a time starting yesterday.

I guess it is time to go to Home Depot....or should I go somewhere else?

I think my dad gave it it to me - but knowing him, he might still have it!
