24fps 1 #1 February 8, 2006 This summer we are moving to Oregon!!!! It will either be in the Beaverton area or Bend Oregon. I am used to smaller DZs and I know it is sad but I have only jumped out of 182s. What DZs do you recommend?something funny and unique

Amazon 7 #3 February 9, 2006 Beaverton is closest to Mollala... REally nice Otter and good vibes NExt Closest is Skydive Eagle Creek.. the CALL RALPH place... a unique vibe all its own kind of like stepping back into the 1960's. C-182 DZ If you are in Bend Oregon, I think the closest DZ is the one in Redmond with a C-182 but I have never jumped there. OR you can go across the mountains To Eugene. a bit of a drive but Cresswell has a very good vibe and I believe a Caravan from Mollala on weekends. SkyDaemon 0 #4 February 9, 2006 Eugene Skydivers is my home DZ although I did some jumping out at Mollala (Skydive Oregon) as well. Both are great DZes with different feels and vibes to them. Eugene Skydivers is a small DZ with a regular small crowd run by an old skybum who does a great job. He has a great little team down there and it's very easy to become one of the family. It's mostly 182s and in the summer there's usually a Caravan. Skydive Oregon is a bigger DZ with Twin Otters, 182s, Caravans, a swoop pond, covered outdoor packing areas, and they host some pretty big boogies and the famous 'Freedom Jam'. It's a happening place with a lot of great people and some very talented jumpers. I tend to be more a small DZ kind of person, so I did most of my jumping in Eugene. Eugene Skydivers is two hours from downtown Portland, and it's 45 minutes to Mollala. I'd try them both and see which one you enjoy more. -=Raistlinfind / -name jumpers -print; cat jumpers $USER > manifest; cd /dev/airplane; more altitude; make jump; cd /pub; more beer;
