Going to buy a laptop tomorrow. Friend says "Go Mac you'll never go back". Want top of line. What's the best?. Money doesn't matter. My HP desktop has been good to me tho. Will be doing video and camera stuff on it. Thanks

A laptop is a personal item. The best one will have the right weight, size, look & feel about it for you.

Macs are very classy machines and have an outstanding user interface. However Mac's are transistioning to Intel chips right now. I'd hold off on getting one until the teething and software problems are over.

I'd test drive a few and really check out the screen, keyboard and pointing device – especially the size and resolution of the screen. You'll be spending hours infront of this thing. If your a road warrior weight, size and battery life are important too.

Personally, I think IBM Tseries is the best for small laptops

Sony VAIO for larger desktop replacement that you can shove under the couch.

I would say it truly depends on what the applications are that you plan on using it for? If you are into graphic design and video editing a Mac is definately the way to go. If you do alot of accounting or using of products such as Word and Excel. I would go PC. If you do both and are also a gamer I like the new top of the line dell's and I also believe alienware builds a smoking laoptop now also.

Goodluck,
