mailin 0 #1 February 13, 2006 ...but here goes anyway. My husband and I agreed to not spend any money on each other for V-Day - at least thats what I thought until a huge bouquet of beautiful flowers was delivered to my office today. The problem is... tomorrow is V-Day and I don't have ANYTHING for him! I didn't even think of it. I could get him the usual, gift cert for music, but I"m thinking something more romantic (thats not too expensive, but apparantly that didn't matter to him as this bouquet is huge)... I'm usually really good about this, but this really caught me off guard! What would you appreciate getting (in a material sense)? Any advice appreciated JenArianna Frances

SpeedRacer 1 #8 February 13, 2006 most likely he did that because he figured you might get HIM something & then he'd be in the dog house. guys are always afraid women will do that after they both "agree" not to buy any presents. simplyputsi 0 #9 February 13, 2006 He probably doesn't really want anything material. He agreed to not do anything so he could surprise you. If I did that I would not expect anything in return. Just maybe a few kind words and a nice kiss. Whatever else is bonus.Skymama's #2 stalker -

mailin 0 #11 February 13, 2006 Quote why does it have to be material? Because we're already doing the non-material stuff (which was planned). Making dinner together, watching a movie and having 'us' time. This was definitely above and beyond what was planned, and i feel bad no reciprocating... KWIM? mailin 0 #14 February 13, 2006 awwww You should know better than to make me cry Ok, so far I'm planning on making a nice card (I make all my own greeting cards, real professional looking) and picking up some chocolate from the chocolate store near my work... Problem being that I may end up eating his gift - so I need more ideas people! Worse comes to worse I can do the old standby (music gift cert), which he'll love, but its not something 'special' ya know? I get him those all the time. lisamariewillbe 1 #17 February 13, 2006 For my sons they are getting a scavenger hunt, leading kyle to have to actually dig his gift up and Cody to give me 10 pushups to get his final clue to go look in the drive way where it is parked... Vday is about fun for those you love, I hate the holiday but Im like most girls who say they dont want to celebrate it... anyways, have a blast and just enjoy the time, the time that it is just you will be very limited once little bit arrives...Sudsy Fist: i don't think i'd ever say this Sudsy Fist: but you're looking damn sudsydoable in this

Girlfalldown 0 #19 February 13, 2006 I think the home-made card is a great idea. Since when did Valentines Day become like Christmas or a Birthday? It's ridiculous. Just spend time together. Make a nice dinner. Have some champagne and a dessert you don't normally have or something. Then go play poker. -------------- (Do not, I repeat DO NOT, take my posts seriously.)
