karenmeal 0 #1 February 19, 2006 I'm going belly-flying tommorrow and I'm scared!!! It's been sooooooooooooooo long. Last time it had been this long it felt like I was flying on the hill the whole time, I had trouble breathing and I freaked out about breaking off at 4! AMax 0 #2 February 19, 2006 LOL Now I understand why most of our freeflyers don't do belly. They always come up with all kinds of lame excuses but never reveal the truth.

Have fun, Karen. I wish I was on the load with you. Hey, do you want to launch something out of the Otter?

I mean, actually agreeing to go bellyflying has *got* to be symptomatic of something!!! Walt
karenmeal 0 #6 February 19, 2006 Seriously though, last time I went and tried to turn points on my belly I had a hard time getting used to the lack of extra wind to fly with. In freeflying I'm so used to using smaller movements, but in belly-flying I really had to use some extra input and it felt wonky. The occasion is blue skies over Seattle. Hm ... that's why I suck so bad at bellyflying (and I don't freefly). .. it's gotta be "the lack of extra wind to fly with"! Have fun
karenmeal 0 #9 February 20, 2006 TODAY FUCKING ROCKED! I don't care what you crazy freeflyers say, RW is cool. -Karen "Life is a temporary victory over the causes which induce death." - Sylvester Graham

karenmeal 0 #11 February 20, 2006 No actually.. It was awesome. I love the discipline that the folks I was jumping with have. I love freeflying, but most people don't care to dirtdive the nitty gritty details, if they even want to dirt dive at all. We got 19 points on one jump from 10.. it was fucking awesome! That is truly a badass jump!!!! I quit doing RW because I couldn't find anyone that *did* want to take it to the next level except the people doing the team thing. The frustration of zoo load after zoo load simply wasn't worth it for me. Glad you had such a great time, though. Walt
karenmeal 0 #13 February 20, 2006 You know what Walt.. That is kinda why I quit doing RW too. Waiting for someone to dock or come back from their brainlock just wasn't doing it for me. Atleast freeflying is even more challenging (sometimes.) The folks I was jumping with today are on a team, it was cool. We dirt-dived and creeped so much that I'm sore. Fabulous. -Karen "Life is a temporary victory over the causes which induce death." - Sylvester Graham
