sundevil777 102 #1 February 20, 2006 I think that would be so cool to see. It would probably have to be customized, and they wouldn't go as fast down the ramp, but think of how far they would fly! They would have to extend the sloped part of the hill I would think. I wonder if the rules for ski jumping specifically do not allow anything connecting legs or arms to body?People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am

jdfreefly 1 #4 February 20, 2006 I've been thinking about that since I first saw a video of a wingsuit. I think that the extra drag the suit would create during the downhill portion might be a problem. Methane Freefly - got stink?

Nice good tuck...knees together to create one leg...though at those speeds would probably not be quite so stable She is not a "Dumb Blonde" - She is a "Light-Haired Detour Off The Information Superhighway." eeneR TF#72, FB#4130, Incauto

So they determined a size/weight ration for the maximum ski size you can jump.scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
base689 0 #7 February 20, 2006 > I wonder if the rules for ski jumping specifically do not allow anything connecting legs or arms to body? Yes, you got the point. On your own obviously you can experiment any sort of suit you like, even a wingsuit. But from what I heard, I can tell you that the rules involving the ski jump suits are very tight, they have got very tight specifications, if the suit is larger/thicker/bigger/"prohibited fabric"/whatever, the jumper gets disqualified (heard a TV commentator the jumper "Joe Jumper" in the competition of "White Mountain" got disqualified because of a "wrong" suit). Dumpster 0 #8 February 20, 2006 My son and I were watching the ski jumpers and noticed thier body posistion isn't much different than a skydiver in a track - De-arched torso, etc. I noticed some of the jumpers had thier palms down and some had them turned in. I wonder why? Easy Does It
