My mom had a mild heart attack when I was 25. She AND my father gave them up cold turkey after that. It's been 20 years since that day. Do you know, she says that every now and then, she STILL misses it? I know it's hard. It would be like my trying to give up diet soft drinks. Everyone has an addiction of some sort.
