hooked 0 #1 January 21, 2006 I'm sure this will probably get buried, but.....If anyone has the chance to see INXS on tour, do it! The show 'rocks'! IF you want to see them and you don't have tickets, you can find them and not always at 'scalper' prices. They put on one hell of a show! I find it hard to believe the band will sound just as good with the replacement singer. Van Halen was a flop, but then again, AC/DC improved or did just as good with their current lead singer."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
hooked 0 #3 January 21, 2006 A canadian singer, Jason D. Fortune (JD Fortune). Ha! Real name too. One can say, no he's not Michael, but WOW he does one hell of a job. He's not trying to be Michael, just be himself. There are a few songs, when he actually sounds like Michael. He does a GREAT job with their back catalog as well as their new songs, a few he wrote with Andrew. If you listen to them and expect Michael's voice you might be disappointed, if you listen for INXS, it's there!!! -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings. BillyVance 35 #4 January 21, 2006 Cool! I liked INXS' music when I kept up with it. elizfowler 0 #5 February 22, 2006 We went to the INXS / Lovehammers concert last night and it really did rock as you said! Lovehammers were GREAT and Marty Casey and the guys did some fantastic tunes... The real TREAT was INXS with the new front man JD! I think we felt he'd be average to adequate in the shadow of their dearly departed Michael but he went far beyond our expectations, as did the elder band members /founders! We would HIGHLY recommend this show to anyone that loves a great concert!
ccowden 0 #6 February 22, 2006 INXS was one of the best pop bands of the moden era. I just find it very difficult to get excited about a band of that caliber choosing their new lead singer from a reality show. I wish I could, cuz I loved INXS. "Never Tear Us Apart" is one of the TOP pop songs ever written, in my opinion.
elizfowler 0 #7 February 22, 2006 We have always felt as you do and bought the tickets with certain reservations and reduced expectations....we went, we saw and our doubts were silenced last night which was no easy task! They performed Never Tear Us Apart and the crowd (and yes us) were blown away.

You'd be surprised how well INXS sounds with JD doing old and new songs! They have a new video coming out on VH1 next week called "Afterglow". A very good ballad written for or pertaining to the loss of Michael. I'll try to find a link for you to listen to JD singing with INXS. Whether they found their singer from a reality show or if they had found him somewhere else, would it make a difference? They tried various other singers since losing Michael, they didn't work, JD Fortune works. What a show!!! -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings.

hooked 0 #10 February 22, 2006 Here is a link that will take you to a download page of the music of INXS with JD Fortune. I suggest you listen to some of the concert songs from the Gibson Theater in Los Angeles......then voice your opinion. The concert from Las Vegas, JD was suffering from Bronchitis after that concert they postponed 3 because he was sick, so don't judge from the Vegas concert. INXS was not done performing and they needed a new singer, JD Fortune is right for INXS. http://fortune448.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=3401 -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings. hooked 0 #11 February 23, 2006 So, did anyone visit the link I posted and listen to some of the songs? I'd like to know what your reactions are. The band is still the same, they still ROCK and the new singer fits in very well. -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings.
