gmittar 0 #26 February 23, 2006 That's a gorgeous bird! The money doesn't make me cringe too much, I spent around that on my Bengal, and have no reason to regret it. |>.<| Seriously, W.T.F. mate?
lurch 0 #27 February 23, 2006 WOW. Just WOW. That is an incredibly beautiful animal. Miniature jaguar/leopard/cheetah. Wow.Live and learn... or die, and teach by example.
hexadecimal 0 #28 February 23, 2006 Well... as long as we're posting bird pictures, here's one of my annoying little fuckers. The other one is a quaker parrot... I'll have to take a picture tomorrow (just got a new digital camera ;)). Both of my birds are fluent in door opening sounds, screaming, dog whining, dog barking, various bird noises, and microwave sounds complete with a pause between initial number punching beeps and the long "finished" beep at the end. The quaker parrot knows more human words than the cockatoo, amazingly.
Andy_Copland 0 #29 February 23, 2006 Fucking Hell thats a beautiful cat... I'd be scared of letting him/her out though incase someone decided to steal it 1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit. Until morale improves, the beatings will continue. gmittar 0 #30 February 23, 2006 She's purely an indoor cat. I do take her with me in the car and to the store, but she's in a harness on a leash then. She sits on my shoulder in the car, it's very cute. But yes, I'm very paranoid, I don't even want to hire a cleaning person for fear of her being stolen/let out. |>.<| Seriously, W.T.F. mate? Girlfalldown 0 #31 February 23, 2006 Is that an umbrella cockatoo? I had one a long time ago and he was so amazingly cool. She would crawl into bed with me and snuggle and she was just like a cat! He was old though. Oh I just remembered! She used to rub himself on the edge of the cage and get off on it! It was kind of creepy. She'd bounce up and down, bite the cage and stare at me like I was her mate. -------------- (Do not, I repeat DO NOT, take my posts seriously.)

livendive 8 #35 February 23, 2006 QuoteI can't believe their vocabulary and how clear it is when they speak. Toby used to say "ain't got no job" then when I got a job said "Katee got a job" So many things with that bird amazes me! Very cool! I was in a bar a few weeks ago, named "the talking bird", that had a resident myna bird. I sat down near him and the first thing he said was, in perfect cat-voice "Meeeooooowwwww", followed shortly by "Here kitty, kitty, kitty" Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" hexadecimal 0 #36 February 23, 2006 Yea.. he's an umbrella. Awesome bird when he's not screaming at the top of his lungs for attenion (which is pretty much the whole time you're not paying direct attention to him). Yours must have been really old. They can live 50+ years.
Girlfalldown 0 #37 February 23, 2006 Oh yeah, I remember the screaming. That was rough. Even covering the cage at night didn't help sometimes. He/she was really old. I got her from a friend that got her from a friend that got her from a grandparent that had her for years. She was like a kitty cat though. Such a sweetie. I used to let her ride around on the back of my dog. They loved each other. -------------- (Do not, I repeat DO NOT, take my posts seriously.)
hexadecimal 0 #38 February 23, 2006 My cockatoo figured out a while back that every time a piece of food from his cage hit the floor, my dog would rush over to pick it up. He now regularly throws food on the floor then rushes to the bottom of his cage to watch her pick it up
