peacefuljeffrey 0 #51 February 23, 2006 QuoteYO! The kid who got silver in Ice Dancing went to my Highschool... Lame as it might be - he can do it better than you can Everything can be done better by some select people than by a lot of others. Should that make everything an olympic sport? How about building model airplanes? Now that would be some good t.v.! "He's...he's going for the left main landing gea-- NOoooo! He's made a fake and gone for the cockpit bubble! This boy can really make things happen in model-building!" --Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!" peacefuljeffrey 0 #52 February 23, 2006 Quotewow all that from a Phd!!! how scathing ouch that hurt! call the ambulance.... oh here it comes whaaawhaawhaawhaa hehehehehe John you crack me up! I owe you a few beers for that one! thanks for all the laughter! Now I owe you for a good, hearty laugh! I was thinking of explaining to kallend that it makes sense to separate the different, unrelated thoughts even though they refer to the same post, in much the same way that individual thoughts belong in separate paragraphs in an essay... but then I thought, nah. --Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... klingeme 1 #53 February 23, 2006 QuoteAre you kidding me.... it's retarded. If they are going to include dumb sports... why not ballroom dancing and bowling for the summer olympics.... I'm not a fan of ice dancing or figure skating, but I got into curling this year. And they do have dumb sports in the summer olympics. Dancing around with a ball or a stick with ribbon attached to it, syncro swimming...... Mark Klingelhoefer
foxyroxtail 0 #54 February 23, 2006 QuoteQuoteAND THE CURLING GIRLS ARE HOTTT that completely depends on the team, I watched the brits and the US girls and there was a broad band of cute to hideous in that mix (oops, this is bonfire) but I'm sure they all had nice personalities They showed a Curling Calendar early on in the competition. Talk about cleverly placed "stones"! Ahem!! First thing I thought upon seeing curling? Don't try it in tight pants. I can't bend like those... erm... um.. whatever they call that person who hurls the big rock thingies with the handle... and not pull a groin AND fall over on my arse in the trying. I do think they are taking some of these more obscure sports a little far in terms of TV coverage. But as a result of that coverage, I learned that this is only the 3rd games this was a full medal event. It was a "demonstration" event in '24, '32, '48, '64, '88 and '92 before being accepted. Now THAT's perseverance. ________________________________________

Now how is it that THAT specific comment made me laugh out loud in my office when all the GTA/Rebecca/RhondaLee banter just made me smile fondly? ... Driving is a one dimensional activity - a monkey can do it - being proud of your driving abilities is like being proud of being able to put on pants

This post is inspiring me to share a photo of a really cool figure skating chick. Something about this picture is vaguely, umm, "beckoning". Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!"
