sid 1 #8 March 1, 2006 Go SamSung - I have the 17" and the 19" with TV tuners built in, they are awesome, and I think one of them won the product of the year award from Maximum PC. You can get'em at Best Buy pretty reasonablyPete Draper, Just because my life plan is written on the back of a Hooter's Napkin, it's still a life plan.... right? Kris 0 #9 March 1, 2006 I have to second Samsung. Their LCD panels are some of the best around. Some of the top-end monitors around (Dell, etc...) use Samsung panels in their monitors. I have the SyncMaster 204T 20.1" running at 1600x1200 and it's gorgeous. Great color reproduction, no ghosting (even playing FEAR or NFS Most Wanted), and it has a sensor that automatically adjusts the resolution when you pivot the display. If you don't want to drop $550 on a monitor, you can't go wrong with their 19". Check the prices at www.newegg.com and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. ps, I love having all my desk space back after getting rid of my 19" CRT.Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
bwilling 0 #10 March 1, 2006 I have a Samsung 710N at work, and I love it! It's my first LCD display, and I will warn you that I had to switch it to its highest resolution (1280 x 1024) before I really liked the image... but now it's crystal clear and sharp! That said, the Sony Xbrite is the single best display I've ever seen! They're not cheap though! "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
