gravityizsexy 0 #80 February 27, 2006 wow..., suprised nobody lights up like this when manufacturer's actually give away equip let alone discounts,.. and for the certain individuals who are repulsed by the abuse of "the system", I bet you'll keep paying your taxes to support whatever his name is, better yet.. I guarantee that sh**. AND THEN!!! have the nerve to promote the boycott of community suppliers!!! WTF!! would that solve? You want to make a statement?!?.. shush your mouth and disassociate yourself from your perp(s), if you were even familiar in the first place. All this other nonsense is counter-productive, the sport needs money... (publicity of any kind, good or bad = BUSNIESS *ECON-FUNDAMENTALS 101*) Busniess = more students = more money = more training = more research = better technology = better technology = less stories invloving fatalities and/or injuries... follow me? Shutting out (boycotting) vendors tightens the already strained grip on the market. As it turns out, this is a oppurtunity to expand, so let the heads do what they do... Your mad over bad publicity!?!? I didn't see any pickets or protesters outside movie theatres or TV stations when That movie with Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze was aired.. not to mention countless other media that keeps the whuffo's asking "what happens if the reserve doesn't open"... The girl survived... and you vultures are picking and picking at the livelyhood she'll barely have left if she is recieveing this sorry excuse for drama, she said nothing but the truth... Im actually concerned that this being her first experience did not traumatize her against the skydiving altogether. If she does happen to muster up the courage most people don't achieve in their lifetime after an incident like hers. You don't have to jump with her, I will.... jdthomas 0 #85 February 27, 2006 Gravitysexy.... are you serious? After one year in the sport you know whats best for the sport of skydiving and you think that negative media is good? As far as paying our taxes.. WE have to, it's the law and like it or not our country gives money to worthless causes that are tax based. We can bitch about that if we so choose. You may not have seen any protesters over the movie point break, did you even see it in a movie theater? You where not even a jumper at that time anyway. Yes the girl survived, this was a good thing. Us vultures can pick at the livlyhood she has left, hell she did not have one before this all started, she was living off money that her boyfriend was scamming from the system! This was NOT her first experience, she has made like ten jumps.. this was her first AFF jump as she has made IAD and Tandem jumps before this one. I don't see anywhere thats she is saying she has to muster up any courage, she is ready to jump all she wants is free gear to do so. she does not want to work to get her own gear she wants the vendors to supply it for her because this was so tragic and she has more talk show plans! If you knew anything at all before you typed all your garbage you would have never had writeen the statement that this girl had only said the truth. perhaps you should reread other Shayna threads and gather your info or ask someone who does know the fact of this. She lied, she continues to lie and all int he aid to seek more money. she will say what the media or you want to hear as to milk you for money so she nor her boyfriend have to work or pay thier own way in life! katecooper 0 #86 February 27, 2006 After lengthy discussions in corporate, Square1 has decided to pass on this golden opportunity and to award the gear sponsorship instead to Danny; Here's Danny! We feel that a risk taker like Danny can better appreciate the gear and it may just help him to find the woman of his dreams... We will, of course, entertain any future sponsorhip requests. Chilly_Dk 0 #90 February 27, 2006 Damn.... Do you know where Danny has learned to do crazy shit like running across the street WITHOUT LOOKING???? I bet there are high quality instructors out there in that discipline, that might even need a gear sponsor??? Maybe we can make a "Crossing streets" section here at DZ.com, if it is not too extreme...??? It's all right to have butterflies in your stomach. Just get them to fly in formation. Chilly_Dk 0 #96 February 27, 2006 I am sure the right people, who have practiced it for years, will come to the surface considering the potential of that sport. Oh... I am up for the rating as well! I just went across the street to get a coke. I looked twice before crossing, and had ONE(!) eye closed. Man, this is not stuff for kids. I have no idea where Danny got the courage to do it. It's all right to have butterflies in your stomach. Just get them to fly in formation.
Thanatos340 1 #97 February 27, 2006 While it is going to be difficult to make a Living because all these UNTRAINED do gooders who think they should "Give Back to the Street" continue to help Young Kids across the street (simply because that is the way it has always been Done) with out charging them... Hopefully the SCAA (Street Crossing Association of America) will step in and mandate that only Coach Rated Street Crossers assist those low timers. Be ware as soon some over educated Brainiac will show up and start demanding Statistic to prove whether the newly created Street Crossing Rating has shown and effect on Street Crossing accidents. (Dont worry though.. He will be ignored here too!!)

IanHarrop 42 #99 February 27, 2006 I hope that there will be a code of ethics that prevents instructors from dating their students, Maybe even some sort of reference checking process that would prevent an instructor from taking their girl-friend/student to another street to attempt dangerous street crossing that could result in the loss of teeth! Maybe Danny, with his experience, could be an instructor!
