Who else out there has a real keeper?

Here's your chance to brag on your partner.

My husband and I celebrated 11 years of marriage/13 years of being together on Saturday the 25th. Yes, we got married exactly two years after we met.

Anyway, He booked a weekend trip to Austin. When we arrived at the hotel Friday night, there were 18 gorgeous red roses (along with a special message) waiting for me in the room.

Then the next day we went iceskating ...neither one of us had ever done it. He fell twice and still has bruises:( He then took me shopping and picked out a complete outfit for me. We ended our special day with a wonderful Italian dinner. He proposed a toast that made me tear up pretty good.

I'm glad he's the one that didn't get away:)

Oh geez....I think I already have made several people vomit in their mouths over how much I brag about my hunny;)

He and I are SO different, but alike in just the right ways: our sense of humor, our idea of fun, and THE BED>:(:);)

For example, he is Captain Humble.[:/] And I call it like it is. If I'm great, I'll say so:D:P...but if I'm not I'll call that too:)
He is SUPER-NICE-WILL-GO-OUT-OF-HIS-WAY-FOR YOU. Me? Well.....if it's convenient:D

He's my best friend, my lover and my favorite person to do anything with (except shop. I refuse to take him shopping. I'd rather he golf and let me buy his/my shit by myself):P

He forgets to take out the trash sometimes...but NEVER forgets to check my oil/gages before I go on a 10-hour long trip down to my corporate office.

I don't tell him where to put things....but after he sees me move them where I want them several times, he just starts putting them there himself.:)
He's also the only person in this world who *really* knows me. And, the only person who could possibly shop for me/order for me, if necessary:o

He's my "babe", my "big daddy", my "Helloooo lover" and my "carrots" (I'm "peas").:P;):)
Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

My boyfriend Chad continually amazes me with his ability to love. I never fully grasped what "love" meant until I started dating him. When I did something to upset someone in my family, they would either punish me or get angry. Chad never does that. He continually amazes me with the loving attitude he constantly portrays towards me.

He is an extremely selfless and giving person and he makes me laugh. B| And he's HOT! :$

Not enough room for me too brag too much...

...but I'll just say he puts up with much too much and I got much better than I deserve. Can't think of a day when we haven't said 'I love you' more than once :$

Together for 7 years now and looking forward to 70 more :)

After reading that thread and specifically the post quoted below you can understand how I was laughing reading this;

***But - at my first dz where I learned, there was a good friend of mine who came up with a really crazy game/tradition called, "The Keeper Game." I can't remember the exact qualification which made a turd a "keeper" or not - I think the rules said it had to be at least 12" long or have a 12" circumfrence was also acceptable. In any case, if you discovered you had indeed accomplished such a feat (of derring-doo), you were supposed to not flush, but step out of the bathroom (once you had finished and washed your hands, ect.) and ring a special bell - thus informing the rest that a "Keeper" had come into being - which was the cue for interested parties to inspect, admire, and/or otherwise comment upon. No one ever actually made a "Keeper" announcement but we discussed it several times. Later, a whole knew genus of terms were thrown about to describe different types, the the "Ghost," "Ranger," and "Snake Charmer (usually harmless)," as examples and many of these different types were later described on various websites - I think one was called the "Shitlist," or something.

Here is my honey. I love her so much. She is one of the most famous skydivers in the world. I love to sit around all day with her and do nothing at all. We are extremely blessed to be independently wealthy so we will never have to work another day in our lives. Just the way we like it. She looks a little goofy but I like goofy.

My hubby is such a big romantic! I just love him so much! Are you ready? Okay I have known my hubby for 17 years and we have been married for 15 years. Our anniversary was Jan 1st. We have never been well to do or anything but we are happy with our life. Any way he took me to dinner w/o kids. He wrote me a poem. I was crying from that. (happy tears of course) He gave me roses and said I will love you till the last one dies.( There was a rose made of feathers in the middle) Then he gave me a box from across the table and he had bought me a diamond ring. I balled of course and we went home and he had candles and a new outfit for me and we made love AHAHAHAHAH I thought that was great.:)
I've learned.... That being kind is more important than being
right.

For my 30th birthday he let me skydive all day...well, I really only got 1 jump in due to shtuff, but he waited on the DZ patiently the whole time! (Even though he had to watch my mal from the ground...:$:o[:/] & said he had never been so afraid in his life, watching me spiraling out of control. :() The next morning he drove me to the ferry docks and took me to Orcas Island where we had a honeymoon suite. He went shopping with me through the little village and bought me jewelry.

:) !

Then I was surprised with a cruise to the Bahamas for our 10 year anniversary...all he said was 'We're going someplace warm. Get packed!'

If memory serves, he told me where the 'warm' place was only 2 days prior. It was the coolest surprise I've ever had...uh, next to the surprise of the lil' dot turning *blue*, those of y'all with kids will know what I mean.

Did you drink some "Walt juice"?

Not sure I understand the reference, but I assure you I haven't drank anything of Walt's! Nothing bad against him of course, he just not my type of "keeper". :S:D

Shit, I don't know what Walt juice is either, and whatever it is, *I* would be scared to drink it!

You can say I'm not your type all you want. You want me, I can tell.;):D

I'm not going to go into a whole lot of detail because if I start talking about The Lovely Mother Lynn, I'll run on and on and on and on.

I got lucky and caught the star gal athlete of our high school class (I only wish that we were 15 years younger so that she could have had the chances young women have today) even though I am a natural klutz.

When she said "for better and for worse" she meant it and has been my rock for 38 years this coming August. Actually, October 8th will be the 41st anniversary of our first date; I can only hope the next 41 years are as filled with love.

Thi pic is of Lynn with the late Freddy Brown's dog, Jeannie B. It's been one of my favorites for some time now.

Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money.

Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?
