Orange1 0 #1 February 28, 2006 I don't believe people can talk about "favourite" movies unless they have watched them at least 10 times When I thought about this, I was quite surprised at how long my list is. Certainly not all the DVDs and videos in my collection, but still a lot. Starting with my 5 favourites: True Romance – out and out all time #1 favourite. Love story with happy ending, lots of violence and good lines along the way Pulp Fiction. Lots of violence and good lines along the way and um an ending somewhere in the middle. Some brilliant scenes, but True Romance trumps it because I like happy endings Wild at Heart. Er, love story with happy ending, lots of violence and good lines along the way, plus Nicolas Cage in that snakeskin jacket. Trainspotting. One of the rare occasions where I’ve enjoyed the movie as much as the book. “Choose life…” Strictly Ballroom. Love story with a happy ending and wacky Australian humour along the way. No violence. “A life lived in fear is a life half-lived.” Others: Natural Born Killers. Love story with happy ending (at least for Mickey and Mallory), lots of violence and good lines along the way. Some amazing scenes. Um, Grease. Love story with happy ending. (OK, I’m a girl.) Watched this for the first time when I was about 8 or 9 and have seen it countless times since then – even caved in and bought the DVD. Hair. First saw in my teens and just loved it, probably the movie I’ve watched the most in my life. “I got life, mother…” Rocky Horror Picture Show. In a class of its own. I’ve never attended one of “those” screenings, but am probably word-perfect on the script. 12 Monkeys. I’m not generally a sci-fi fan but I absolutely loved this movie. Edited to add (reminded from below) Life of Brian - how could I have forgotten this?! I'm probably word-perfect in the script for this one too. A bunch of Disneys (thanks to my daughter)Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
PLFXpert 0 #2 February 28, 2006 Oh My Gosh, if we're talking from when I was a child well......... There's, Grease, Saturday Night Fever, Staying Alive, Adventures in Babysitting, Sound of Music, Flashdance, Every Molly Ringwald movie,..... These days, though? Maybe just Forrest Gump, Finding Nemo, Meet the Parents, Old School But, of course, I still watch Sixteen Candles whenever its on TBS which is ALWAYS, so I think that one probably takes the cake for the movie I've seen the most....that & Grease since I went through 3 copies of it as a childPaint me in a corner, but my color comes back. Thanatos340 1 #4 February 28, 2006 1. Vanishing Point - Very Dated 70`s Car Chase movie but it was so far ahaed of its time. I have watched it atleast 100 times and always discover something new. 2) A Boy and his Dog. Greatest Movie ending of all times!! 3) Rocky Horror - I saw it well over 100 times. In my late teens and early 20`s it was an every weekend thing. I did always avoid theatres with Casts though. They tended to want complete controll of the crowd and responces and really take away from the Anarchy that I preferred.

JohnMitchell 16 #7 February 28, 2006 Wow, 10 times? I think maybe "Patton", a great guy flick. Also "Caddy Shack", "Happy Gilmore." and "Animal House." I've also seen "Groundhog Day" over and over again. Not a very sophisticated lineup of favorites. I guess I just like to laugh or to see history being made. Add "An Affair to Remember." It may cost me my guy card, but it's a great date flick. My wife and I have it. Don't really care for the ultra violent fiction shows, such as "Kill Bill" or "Natural Born Killers" although I like a good Jackie Chan.

Samurai136 0 #22 February 28, 2006 Quote....you've seen the Lord of the Rings movies more than 10 times? Well, I put them in the DVD player and let them run while I'm in the room surfing the web. That counts as "watching". I think I've seen The Sound of Music more than 20 times... When I was babysitting my sister, years ago, the best way to keep her happy was to let her watch The Sound Of Music and play with her dolls. I've seen a bunch of other Disney musicals in that fashion as well."Buttons aren't toys." - Trillian Ken

"raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens..." I've probably seen that one 20 times, too. Oh, yeah, and I watch It's A Wonderful Life every year at Christmas. And every year, it's going to be the year that I don't cry. Fucking Harry Bailey and that fucking toast to his brother. Damnit, I need to go cry now. AllisonH 0 #25 February 28, 2006 Oh gosh, probably a lot... I tend to watch the same ones over and over again. - Silence of the Lambs (maybe my favorite) - Apollo 13 (I was ~12 when it came out, I think my friend Carrie and I saw it 7 times at the theater) - The Parent Trap - Dave - The Associate - American President Probably lots of others, but it's harder to figure out when I'm not at home. I used to have a boyfriend who would play the same movies over and over again too, but I'd usually fall asleep, so I don't think those count.
