JAC 0 #1 March 7, 2006 Okay, I know this seems so simple, but I'm having issues adjusting crop and guide lines in Illustrator CS2. I'm pulling from a previous piece, and the printable dimensions are not the same as I need them for my current project. I tried adjusting the artboard size, but now I have guide issues. Any help would be great.
JAC 0 #2 March 8, 2006 I'm trying to do a piece that is essentially 17'x11' printable text, with 1/8th in bleeds. My original dimensions were 15'x7'. Any help will do???

I'm not that familiar with illustrator, but from what I understand you're trying to take an original image that’s cropped at 15x7 (which is a ratio of .466) and trying to make it fill an 11x17 sheet (which is a ratio of .647). If this is what you’re trying to do, you can set your crop tool in cs2 to 17x7.992 (which I calculated by multiplying the original image ratio of .466 times the longest leg of the sheet to fit (17"). Now you can re-crop the original image. This will set your new print size. Hope this helps, or maybe I interpreted the question wrong . --- xenaswampjumper SPANKS THIS ASS!!! hisgoofyness 0 #4 March 8, 2006 Are you building this at a scaled size? Such as 1" = 1' 17' x 11' scaled to 17" x 11"
JAC 0 #5 March 8, 2006 Yes. Basically I don't know completely what I'm doing and am trying to wing it a certain extent.
