which begs the question: why is Heineken so much better in europe? While in greece, most of your choices are amstel (reg, not light) or Heineken...I stick with the Heineken. I could never drink as much of it here, it's just not as good. (selection and availability aside, of course)

I've never had an european heineken and I've heard they're sooooooooo much better so thats on my list of things to do in the next few years....

Sam Adams light is pretty good compared to some beers....compare it to a domestic light beer and its the nectar of the gods :) But almost every beer has its place and time....corona is a piss beer...but regardless down on the beach with your feet in the sand they can be pretty damn good.

they are not.. that taste difference? it is Canal water... there is a reason its not ranked very highly in Europe... once you smell the canals you will know...

I know nothing of canal water, I just have friends who have drank it over there and drank it over here and they all swear it's 10 times better over there.....but then again it could be one of those atmosphere things....you know in holland drinking heineken.....maybe it's it's like a corona with your feet buried in the sand

its okay.. heinken is very low on my lists anyway..

most beers are better in Europe.. and higher in alcohol.

Good beer should be poured into a proper pint glass. You cant enjoy the malt & hop aroma or the color if you just swill it out of the bottle.

& people who buy shitty beer then drink the good stuff need a kick in the nuts.

if it's a small get toghther i'll bring a 12er of some decent beer- shiner or rolling rock. if it's a big bash type party i'll bring bud or red dog. there usually isn't enough left over to worry about bringing home.
but if i bring some Jager or Patron for shots i keep a good eye on it. i've even kept said bottle in a small ice chest out in my car before. cheers
