kenz 0 #1 March 10, 2006 i went to see the "body worlds" exhibit at the franklin institute today in philly, and all i can say it holy crap it was AMAZING... absolutely fascinating! for those of you that don't know what that is, people donated their bodies and this scientist took them and plasticized them in different positions and slices and it shows all of the different functions of our systems... its hard to explain all of the amount of things they show, but if you know that it is coming ANYwhere near you i HIGHLY recommend going... it is just fascinating... this was one of the most mind boggling and educational things i have ever seen in my entire life check out the website - http://www.koerperwelten.de/en/pages/home.asp"life does throw curveballs sometimes but it doesn't mean we shouldn't still swing for the homerun" ~ me

Nightingale 0 #3 March 10, 2006 Body Worlds was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. They not only have bodies, but they have various organs that had different diseases (ever wonder what cigarettes really do to your lungs? or alcohol to your liver? You can even see what arthritis looks like.) I was expecting to be grossed out. It wasn't gross in the least, and the way it was presented showed a lot of respect for the body donors. I can't wait until it comes back to California. If you can go, GO. You won't regret it.
