Michele 1 #14 March 10, 2006 Lori, the storm which is bringing snow to Oregon is indeed headed our way. We are expecting snow as low as the Santa Monica mountains, and stormy weather (including thunder and waterspouts, possibly tornados) here in LA on Friday night through Sunday. Gonna get cold, might get snow outside my place in the San Fernando Valley...and definitely gonna get windy and rainy. Good grief, I hope the rain doesn't freeze - we can't drive in the rain as it is, and if it freezes and becomes ice, it's gonna be hell on Saturday (when I have to travel to a memorial...). Oh well... Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

Amazon 7 #19 March 10, 2006 You know the kewl thing about where I live... it snows only VERY rarely... but I can see it from my windows on the mountains just to the east... I can hop in the truck and be in 20' of snow at Stevens Pass in about.. oh 40 minutes From a local website http://www.harborproperties.com/resorts1/stevens.asp Stevens Pass At 4100 feet, Stevens on average enjoys over 35 feet of annual snowfall making Stevens Pass, Washington’s premier winter playground. When snow comes to Washington, it comes to Stevens Pass. With the addition of Granite Peaks Lodge and the renovated base village as well as high-speed quads, Stevens Pass continues to set the standard for Northwest skiing and snowboarding. Tube City snow play area and the Top Phlight Terrain Park provide more reasons why Harbor believes the terrain is the difference. Oh HERE..... check out the webcam.. its purty up there today.....http://www.stevenspass.com/webcam/index.aspx

gravitational 0 #24 March 11, 2006 QuoteYou know the kewl thing about where I live... it snows only VERY rarely... but I can see it from my windows on the mountains just to the east... The sad part about the snow here is that I haven't even been here to enjoy it. Today is day #9 that I've actually been home this year. I'm not counting the 8 hour stint a couple weeks ago in the count. Road warrior I guess i be.------ Michael
Guest 1010 #25 March 11, 2006 >but it is still sunny & warm though well the wind stopped, after gusting to 50ish this morning ... but after 148 days without rain ... it is POURING DOWN RAIN right now and for you masters of the hop-n-pop we only have a grand maybe, the clouds are close in ... it'll be nice & green in a couple weeks for future visitors ... and if it clears off just a little it'll be a rich sunset through the clouds You can have it good, fast, or cheap: pick two.
