bbarnhouse 0 #1 March 11, 2006 Looks like its gonna rain today..For: 5.5 miles southeast of Eloy. Created: March 11, 2006 06:41:53 MST Today: Numerous thunderstorms. Southwest wind 31 gusting to 47 mph. High 61. Tonight: Numerous thunderstorms. Southwest wind 20 mph. Low 43. Its been 140+ days since it has rained here. I am accustommed to living in the desert, and a certain amount of dust that goes with it. These last months however, have been terrible and I am having to change the hepa fliters more often. I know..."But we want to jump!" comes to mind. In truth all the locals are happy that its gonna rain todayOne slight problem though, the clouds are so dark that it looks like we are in for one heck of a storm and the snow birds...well most of them don't know how to drive in it! LOL Guess I'll stay home and watch the extended version of DUNE

AggieDave 6 #3 March 11, 2006 Cool! I'm willing to bet a good full on storm is just absolutely beautiful in the desert. Scary at times maybe, but beautiful. Talk one of your bored uber-vidiots into taking some cool pics of the clouds and lightening and stuff, then post it.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." bbarnhouse 0 #4 March 11, 2006 QuoteWe watched Close Encounters last night. :) I haven't seen that movie in ages! I could use a couple of days off, and what better way than to spend the day curled up on the couch with my little dog watching movies!QuoteTalk one of your bored uber-vidiots into taking some cool pics of the clouds and lightening and stuff, then post it. Some of the most beautiful lightning storms I have seen are right here. It is simply a sight to behold. I'll see what can be done about some pics

monkycndo 0 #6 March 11, 2006 I'm not all that fond of rainy weather. But the one thing that I miss from living in the high desert of SoCal for ten years is the smell of the rain washing the dust off of the creosote bushes.50 donations so far. Give it a try. ltdiver 3 #8 March 11, 2006 Well, it's SNOWING here at my house, and Perris has postponed "Safety Day" until next weekend. Guess I'm stuck indoors today...and my tv is on the fritz! Guess I could clean the house. NOT! There's this stack of books that are begging to be read... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

freeflir29 0 #10 March 12, 2006 I'm tired of rain. Jan/Feb is the rainy season in Iraq. Thank God it's spring now. Except for the dust storm a few days ago we have been having SPECTACULAR weather. Severe clear, mid to upper 60's, and just a light breeze. Makes me miss skydiving though. 17 and a wake up and I'll be on my way to the Farm!
